For many of us we have been busy cooking and preparing a feast to enjoy with family and friends.
I was one of the many. I woke up this morning especially thankful for the fruits of my labor. It has been a most rewarding Thanksgiving. I woke up and watched Macys' 82nd Parade. As always, it was spectacular. I then watched the original 1947 Mircle on 34th Street. As I watched the parade and the movie every sign was about "BELIEVING". Today is a moment I will never forget.
I wake up every morning thankful for all that I have. All that I worked for and grateful for believing. Believing in me, believing in God, our Angels and believing that we all can make a difference. It doesn't have to be grand. It can be as simple as a kind gesture or a smile to another.
As I watched my family and friends today interact with one another, it made my heart warm to see how far we all have come. Life isn't meant to be a breeze where we catch onto that imaginary rainbow and set us free from all our troubles. Life is about learning lessons and constant change, flowing with that change. Learning along the way how we can be more loving, kind, joyful, selfless.........yet believe in ourselves that we need to love within and set boundaries with others.
Yes, today is just one day we all come together and be Thankful. Let's not wait for a holiday. Let's be grateful everyday. One day at a time we can make a difference. As we keep faith in our hearts, we will grow stronger in our beliefs. We will become better individuals with more love in our hearts. Believing in ourselves, loving ourselves will send the message to all that love is the answer. One of my favorite songs from the Beatles, "All We Need Is Love" says it all. There is no room for fear if we commit to love.

Mu*Cha*Chas are a unique line of hand embroidered garments sewn by the Kuna Indians of Panama. Each garment is decorated by several Molas which are intricately sewn pictures made from layers of cloth in a reverse applique technique. Every pair is different in color and design.

These designs inspired a lovely woman named Rachelle.
Rachelle first encountered the Kuna Indians on a 6 month adventure in the Caribbean. Rachelle spent over a month in the San Blas Islands, which is where she had her first pair of jeans made. The response to her jeans made Rachelle decide to return to Panama and have the Kuna Indians create more jeans to bring back to the United States. Rachelle spent an additional six weeks in Panama working with the Kuna Indians.

These garments are very special. All hand sewn by traditional Kuna Indians. The colors and designs are unique! No garment is the same!. These garments tell a long tale of adventure and history.
The Kuna Indians live primarily in the San Blas Island. Their language is called "Tule".
The traditional costume of a Kuna woman consists of a patterned blue cotton wrapped skirt, layered and finely sewn mola paneled blouse. Her head adorned a red and yellow headscarf. Arm and leg beads decorate her body with gold nose rings and earrings.
The artistry of a mola reflects a synthesis of traditional Kuna culture with the influences of the modern world. Mola art developed when Kuna women had access to store bought yard goods. Mola designs are often inspired by modern graphics such as political posters, labels, pictures from books and TV cartoons, as well as, traditional themes from Kuna legends and culture.
Geometric molas are the most traditional, having developed from ancient body painting designs.
Many hours of careful sewing are required to create a fine mola. May 31st, I celebrated the One Year Anniversary of this wonderful journey I began on January 1, 2007. It was a great time by all and it was a very invigorating time for me. My passion exuded through me as I watched those who came into my domain with eyes wide open to embrace my passion. New faces met old acquaintances and it was an electric night.
All I can say is the light is upon my soul to continue with this passion. I want to thank everyone who came. Especially, my daughter, Sadie, for her continued support and love. My dear friend, Brenda, whom I have known for over 20 years. Brenda has been by my side from the beginning and we will continue to grow in our graceful womanly passion towards others. Of course, my dragon twin, Jane, whose inspiration I drew upon to give me the courage to listen to my soul.
I look forward to many more anniversaries, as well as, the introduction of this wonderful journey I have embarked upon.
